Catastrophe
A downloadable supplement
Catastrophe is a lightweight pamphlet supplement that seeks to model character psychology and dramatic arcs in TTRPGs. (It's more fun than it sounds, I swear!) Catastrophe should run underneath/alongside most games - it uses simple lists, six-sided dice, and the assumption that in a climactic moment, characters are faced with the truth of who they are. Whether they accept that truth, or reject it, defines whether their story results in a transformation (comedy) or a catastrophe (tragedy)!
Use it as much or as little as you like - I'd love to hear how it plays. There's a version for printing and folding, a single page version for printing and sticking in a notebook, and a version for easier left-to-right reading on a computer.
In progress: a simple character sheet.

This is incredible! You can make a whole game around these mechanics too!
Thanks so much! If you want to use it in something of your own, please feel free! I'd love to see how people make use of it.
